• Unleashed Impact was started in 2025 as a response to the shelter and rescue overpopulation crises. In 2024 alone, 336,000 pets were euthanized in shelters due to capacity issues. 80% of those euthanizes were healthy and safe to adopt. Rescues are turning away intakes or shutting down altogether due to a lack of available foster homes, adopters, and resources.

Unleashed Impact was founded to be proactive and find the ways we can prevent the dogs from ending up in the shelters in the first place by increasing the access to humane resources that address those reasons directly.

Here are the practical ways we intend to do just that.

    Financial Aid

Provide financial aid for behavioral training and/or medical treatment for families that otherwise would have to consider giving up their dog.

    Scholarship Programs

Offer grants and scholarships open to those in the canine service industry, to increase the number of humane practitioners in grooming, training, veterinary practices, and beyond.

    Canine Club

Create a network that connects members to a support system, a bevy of resources, and a safe place to learn and grow together with each other and with their canine companions.

  • Founder & Executive Director

Ellen is a dog advocate, educator, and community builder dedicated to transforming the way humans and dogs live, learn, and grow together. With nearly a decade of experience in animal welfare, rescue, and pet hospitality, Ellen founded Unleashed Impact to address a systemic issue: too many dogs entering shelters because their humans didn’t have the support they needed.

Rooted in both compassion and strategy, Ellen’s work bridges the gap between dog guardians and the resources that can help them thrive. She specializes in empowering new voices in the canine space—through education, advocacy, and values-driven collaboration—and brings a deep understanding of canine behavior, operational leadership, and humane communication to every initiative she leads.

Whether designing training programs, partnering with aligned businesses, or challenging outdated norms in the dog world, Ellen is unwavering in her mission: fewer dogs in shelters, more empowered guardians, and a culture that treats dogs like the family they are.

When she’s not building Unleashed Impact, you can find Ellen lifting heavy things, speaking truth with a side of sarcasm, and hanging out with Rogue the Dingo—her rescue dog, executive assistant, and Chief Canine Officer.

  • Chief Canine Officer (CCO)

Rogue is a resilient rescue and seasoned expert in human behavior, squirrel surveillance, and strategic napping. As Unleashed Impact’s Chief Canine Officer, she brings over a decade of lived experience navigating the complexities of domestic life—both before and after adoption.

Rogue’s responsibilities include executive morale management, treat inventory oversight, and timely meeting disruptions. She also leads field research at the park, with ongoing studies in stick analytics and unauthorized sniffing diplomacy.

Beyond her professional accolades, Rogue embodies the heart of Unleashed Impact’s mission. Her journey through the rescue system fuels her commitment to making sure more dogs get to stay in the homes where they’re loved—and fewer end up back in shelters due to a lack of support.

Equal parts chaos and DGAF, Rogue serves as a reminder that every dog has a story worth fighting for.
