Unleashed Impact seeks to provide a no-shame culture around learning about dogs and how they intersect with our communities. We will educate the public about dogs around topics including, but not limited to general medical wellness, behavior, care, and animal welfare.

Guardians who surrender or euthanize healthy pets, often do so because of a lack of personal resources. Unleashed Impact will strive to increase access to humane resources that work together to empower dog guardians. Unleashed Impact supports rewards based training methods. These methods have been proven to be affective, including for reactivity and aggression. Unleashed Impact, following the guidance of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorists (AVSAB), is committed to providing resources to grow the number of positive reinforcement and fear-free trainers, handlers, and practitioners in all sectors of the dog industry, as well as financial aid for guardians who need to address behavioral concerns to safely keep their dog.

As long as there is a pet overpopulation issue and shelters and rescues are forced to euthanize or turn away cases due to lack of space and resources, Unleashed Impact will champion rescue and adoption over breeding. However, there is a place in Unleashed Impact for all dogs (and their guardians). Regardless of where your dog came from, we always encourage education and understanding. We are committed to providing resources to assist dog guardians to adopt and keep their dogs.

Spaying/neutering pets can have a direct effect on the pet overpopulation issue, as well as provide many health and behavioral benefits for dogs, which in turn makes the public safer and increases the welfare of animals in a community. Unleashed Impact champions spaying/neutering of companion dogs in accordance with their veterinarian's recommendation for that dog’s health, behavior, and breed factors. If a dog cannot be safely spayed/neutered for any duration of their adolescent or adult life, guardians should take precautions to avoid undesirable outcomes.
